Carnaval Mazatlan 2011

The origins of Mazatlan's carnival date back to the 19th century which dominated the grotesque over the graceful thing, because during the festivities were used perfumed flour and shells filled with tinsel for women; and flour, negrumos and pigments for men. It was until 1898 when a meeting of notable citizens headed by the Dr. Martiniano Carvajal organized a parade of carriages and bicycles on the main streets of Mazatlan, where the use of the confeti, leaving behind the festivities with flour.
